Lakeway Christian Academy is excited to announce the appointment of Megan Leuzinger as our Girls Basketball Coach. With a strong background in the game of basketball and a passion for mentoring young athletes, Coach Leuzinger brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Lakeway community.
Throughout the search process for a new coach, we desired to hire a coach who not only possesses a deep understanding of the game but also shares our values of integrity, character development, and a heart for discipleship. In Coach Leuzinger, we have found a leader who embodies these principles and is dedicated to helping our student-athletes grow as athletes and followers of Christ.
Coach Leuzinger comes to us with an impressive playing and coaching background. As a student-athlete at Liberty University, she was twice named the Big South Conference player of the year, the Big South Women's Student-Athlete of the Year, and was an Associated Press All-American. She was the 14th overall selection in the 2009 WNBA draft where she competed with the San Antonio Silver Stars along with a seven-year career in Europe. As a coach, she has been an assistant with Valparaiso University, a head coach at Evangel University, and was most recently an assistant coach at Wright State University.

Students are able to compete at a high level athletically and receive a quality education, all while being supported and pushed to grow spiritually. I am excited for the opportunity to use the game of basketball to make an impact on student-athletes' lives both on and off the court. My family and I look forward to joining the Lakeway family!"
