Greg Vandagriff is one of the nation's most accomplished high school football coaches, bringing more than 35 years of coaching experience and a proven record of building championship programs. An East Tennessee native, Vandagriff has compiled a 107-16 record over the past nine seasons as a head coach, leading his teams to five consecutive state championship game appearances and three Georgia state championships in 2020, 2022, and 2023. His Prince Avenue Christian School program became one of the premier football programs in the Southeast under his leadership.
Throughout his career, Vandagriff has coached at both the high school and collegiate levels, serving in leadership roles including head coach, defensive coordinator, and educator. He has also shared his expertise at football camps and coaching clinics across the United States and internationally in England, Scotland, and France, earning a reputation as both an outstanding teacher of the game and a mentor to young athletes.
Beyond football, Vandagriff is the author of D1 Dad: Perspectives from a Father and Coach on How Families Can Thrive in Travel Sports, a book that offers practical guidance to parents navigating the increasingly competitive world of youth athletics. His passion for developing student-athletes extends beyond the field, emphasizing character, leadership, faith, and building young men prepared for success in life.
Greg and his wife, Kelly, have three children, all of whom have competed at the collegiate level. Their family's commitment to athletics, faith, and service reflects the values that have defined Coach Vandagriff's career and his impact on countless players, coaches, and families.
