PERSONAL BIO
Born and raised in Wrexham, Wales, Coach Greg Evans played for various soccer Academies in England and Wales such as Everton and Shrewsbury FC. In 2016 he transitioned over to college soccer in the United States. Greg Evans played college soccer at Carson-Newman University where he was a two year captain. He currently holds the records for the most appearances and most minutes played in Carson-Newman History. During his last two years at Carson Newman, they won back to back South Atlantic Conferences.
Evans started his coaching path at the age of 17 where he coached a U8 soccer team in Wales. He then went onto coach at Lakeway Soccer club for five years from 2016-2021. During this time, Lakeway Soccer club made the Tennessee state finals. Evans currently holds a Level 2 English FA coaching license and Welsh FA C certificate.
