To passionately impart knowledge to athletes and revel in witnessing their triumphs, finding fulfillment in nurturing their potential, and witnessing the growth of their skills and achievements.
PERSONAL BIO
Coach Jay Lowery graduated from North Side High School in Jackson, TN. He was a two sport athlete playing football and baseball. He received numerous honors in both sports including All-Region, 3 time All-District, and All-West TN. He played college baseball at Bethel University where he received all conference honors as well as winning a gold glove. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Physics.
Jay began coaching at Huntingdon High School where he coached football, boys and girls basketball, and softball. He helped the football team to a 58 - 17 record in 7 years and a state runner up in 2012. He helped his father coach women's basketball and led them to two state tournament births. Jay became the head softball coach at Huntingdon in 2013 where in a 6 year period he lead the team to 2 final four appearances and was named West TN Coach of the Year and West TN All-Star coach. In the 2019-2020 school year he came to Lakeway. Since being at Lakeway, he has helped lead the football team while coordinating the offense to set new records every year there. He has also helped the softball team to 4 state tournament appearances, 3 district championships, 1 region championship, and has been named Lakeway Area Coach of the Year.
Jay is the husband to Ivy Renfroe Lowery and has 2 children, Cannon and Lakyn. Jay also trains quarterbacks through QBVision, which is becoming the largest quarterback training group in the country. He also trains softball players along side Coach Ellen Renfroe Reed and Ivy Renfroe Lowery through FaithFastpitch. Jay is well versed in Biomechanics and is a certified Mental Performance Coach.
