WHY STATEMENT
To teach young athletes how to glorify God through the athletic talents He has given them and to help them realize the importance of keeping Christ at the center of all their endeavors.
PERSONAL BIO
Born and raised in Knoxville, TN, Coach Lily Felts graduated from Berean Christian School in 2018. She was a two-time All-State selection in volleyball, as well as state MVP and a state champion in 2018. She still currently holds the Tennessee state records for most kills in a set and most kills in a match with 17 and 51, respectively. She received the National Athletic Association of Private Schools National Player of the Year award in 2017 as well.
After high school, Felts took her talents to the University of Tennessee where she was a four-year starter, SEC All-Freshman Team selection, All-SEC Team selection, four-year All-SEC Academic Honor Roll member, and two-year team captain. She graduated Cum Laude from UT with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration. After UT, Felts used her fifth year of eligibility to transfer to Florida Gulf Coast University where she was an ASUN conference champion, a unanimous selection to the All-ASUN first team, and the ASUN Player of the Year. She also was named an AVCA All-American while at FGCU and earned AVCA All-Region honors. Additionally, she played for FGCU's beach volleyball team in the spring of 2023 and helped the team reach the conference championship. In addition to her athletic accomplishments at FGCU, she received a certificate degree in Local Government Management.
Felts has coached for five years and has previously coached at K2 Volleyball Club in Louisville, TN. Her younger sister, Darby, is on the Lakeway volleyball team, and her father, Cory, is the HS head volleyball coach. She is also the Sports Information Director for Lakeway where she she runs all athletics social medias, the athletics website, and assists in marketing.
