WHY STATEMENT
My goal is to help young people understand the importance of building relationships, grow their confidence, and to become leaders that will impact the community and the world for Christ.
PERSONAL BIO
Born and raised in Jefferson County, TN, Chad Cox graduated from Jefferson County High School. He participated in football, baseball, and track and field. Chad went on to Carson-Newman University to further his education and continue his football career. He is a 2002 graduate of Carson-Newman.
After an injury brought an end to his playing days, Chad had an opportunity to begin coaching football at Jefferson County High School while still attending college. This door that the Lord opened started Chad down a path as a coach and educator that would forever change his life. From that point on, he has spent the majority of his coaching and teaching career in Jefferson and Hamblen counties, with the exception of a two year stint coaching and teaching in Russell County, Virginia. Throughout his coaching, Chad has helped several student athletes reach their goals of participating collegiately in both football and track and field. Chad has been working at Lakeway Christian Academy for the past four years and has helped both the football and track programs grow from their inception.
Coach Cox and his wife Toni Jill have been married for 21 years and have 3 children; Molly (18) who is a 2023 graduate of Lakeway Christian Academy, and twins Cooper and Brody (17), who are in the class of 2024. He feels incredibly blessed to be a part of the Lakeway family as a teacher and a coach and can't wait to see all of the things the Lord does through Lakeway Christian Academy in the future!
