PERSONAL BIO
Born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN, Coach KaraLynne Levi Bargatze graduated from Siegel High School in 2016. She was a 4 year 7AAA All District player and the 7AAA Defensive MVP in 2012. While at Siegel, she helped lead her team to two State tournament appearances placing 4th (2015) and 2nd (2016).
After graduating from Siegel, Bargatze attended Carson-Newman University where she was a 5 year starting catcher in every game of her career (203 consecutive games). She was a multi-year member of the SAC Conference teams and played in three NCAA DII tournaments. Bargatze chose to obtain her MEd in Coaching and play softball for her final year at CN following a short COVID season in 2020. Following her 5th year at CN, she earned CoSIDA Academic All-American and CoSIDA Academic All-District awards. The NCAA nominated her for Woman of the Year in 2021 to conclude her career at CN.
After concluding her softball career as a player, she became a part of the Lakeway Christian Academy softball coaching staff as an assistant for the high school team and the head coach of the new middle school program. She was a part of the LCA state championship run in 2021, 2022, and 2023 on staff. Her middle school team placed 3rd in the Knoxville area tournament in only their second year as a program. She is married to Dylan Bargatze who assists on the LCA Wrestling team. They love to attend sporting events, country concerts, and days at the lake. She currently teaches Physical Education at Cornerstone Christian Academy. Bargatze is excited to begin her 3rd year as a teacher and coach with Lakeway Christian Schools.
