PERSONAL BIO
Coach Mika Wester-Moore is from Newport, TN and attended Cocke County High School, where she graduated as a 4.0 student, All-State in basketball, and all-conference in cross country and tennis. She signed a division 1 basketball scholarship to Western Carolina where she played my first year of college. Coach Wester-Moore finished her last 3 years at Carson Newman University. She achieved an SAC championship, SAC MVP, and D2 All-American. Wester-Moore was also nominated student teacher of the year.
She worked 2 years under Cocke County school systems at a K-8 school. This is her 2nd year working at Lakeway, and she is so excited for this year. She loves middle school physical education, and loves getting to coach her students in basketball and tennis. Coach Wester-Moore feels extremely blessed to be apart of this amazing school.
