PERSONAL BIO
Coach Tony Buell grew up in Bean Station, Tennessee and attended Rutledge High School, graduating in 1987. After attending ETSU and obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education, Coach Buell has coached boys basketball at both the high school (Washburn, Carter, and Seymour) and college (Walters State) levels. Coach Buell has over 250 wins as a head coach. While at Carter High School, Coach Buell was the head coach, leading the team to the schools first two appearances to the TSSAA State Tournament (2009 & 2010). As Assistant Men's Coach at Walters State Community College, Coach Buell was in charge of recruiting, scouting, and player development, helping the team to over 75 wins in three seasons and make the NJCAA National tournament two times. Coach Buell has been an assistant boys basketball coach here at Lakeway Christian School since 2021.
